Organizational Timeline

2006

Danang Foundation Founded

Lama Tsewang Rinpoche establishes the Danang Foundation in New York, focused on humanitarian and cultural efforts.

2022

HCSC Launched

Himalayan Cultural Studies Center officially established as separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Weekend Language Program begins with 37 students.

2023

Expansion Year

Summer Cultural Camp launches. Youth Empowerment Program established. Danang Himalayan Library opens to the public. Student enrollment reaches 400+.

2024

Living Traditions Launch

Living Traditions: Music, Dance & Cultural Arts program debuts with TIPA-trained instructors. Community partnerships expand. 800+ students served to date.

2025-2026

Vision Forward

Goal: Serve 1,500+ students annually. Expand to additional location. Establish endowment for long-term sustainability. Launch scholarship program for low-income families.
